Brad Binder Biography
Brad
Binder started research on plants as an undergraduate in the lab of Rob
Donaldson. He then switched to neurobiology and obtained a M.S. under
the mentorship of Dave Atkins and then a doctorate from the
Neurosciences Training Program at
UW-Madison where he studied signal transduction in vertebrate rod
photoreceptors in the lab of Deric Bownds. He switched back to plant
research as a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of
Mike Sussman at UW-Madison studying calcium signaling in plants and
then was a research scientist in the lab
of Tony Bleecker where he started studying ethylene signal
transduction. He joined the
faculty of UT-Knoxville in 2008.
